Panelist Bios

Xen Riggs, Associate Vice President
The Ohio State University

Xen Riggs has nearly 30 years of experience in the live event and facility management industry. During that time he has provided management oversight of facilities and operations including four arenas, six theaters, a 315,000 square foot student union, a recreation complex, campus dining services, hotels and conference centers. He has promoted hundreds of live entertainment events primarily on university campuses. Currently Xen is an Associate Vice President at The Ohio State University where he oversees multiple campus facilities and new program development. He is the senior officer in charge of a joint booking and management agreement for the Jerome Schottenstein Center and Nationwide Arena - both 20,000-seat multipurpose arenas in Columbus Ohio.

Rick Corsi, Director of Programming
CAPA

Rich Corsi is CAPA’s homegrown Cinderella story, working his way up the ladder from the Ticket Office to booking powerhouse in 21 short years. Today, Rich serves as CAPA’s Director of Programming, as well as Director of Festival Latino. You know that really awesome show you saw a while back? Rich made that happen. Wonder how the films for the Summer Movie Series are chosen? Rich runs that, too. Want to know how to put together a free outdoor festival with food, live music, dancing, and 50,000 people? Just ask Rich.

Linda Shetina Logan, Executive Director
Greater Columbus Sports Commission

Linda Shetina Logan has been executive director of the Greater Columbus Sports Commission since its inception in June 2002. For five years prior, she was the director of sports marketing for the Greater Columbus Convention & Visitors Bureau (GCCVB) now doing business as Experience Columbus.Before joining the GCCVB, Logan was the director of sales and services at the Greater Columbus Convention Center. The Fairport Harbor, Ohio native has worked for the Kansas City Convention Center, the Big Eight Conference, the Kemper Arena. and sports teams in Kansas City, Milwaukee and Cleveland.Linda has organized, staged and directed hundreds of meetings, concerts, sporting events and conventions in a variety of positions and organizations. Some major events have included: NCAA Men’s Final Four, Presidential Debates and the United Nation’s Summit on Trade. Logan is a graduate of Ohio University and on the advisory board of the Sports Administration and Facility Management Program. She also is the past national chair of the board of the National Association of Sports Commissions.

Becky Long, Senior Director of Sales & Marketing
PromoWest Productions

Becky Long is currently the Senior Director of Sales and Marketing for PromoWest Productions. After several years in the radio industry, Becky joined PromoWest in 2001 as the Marketing Director, playing a major role in the opening of the country’s very first indoor and outdoor concert facility, PromoWest Pavilion. Now named The LC Pavilion, Becky was in charge of developing strategic advertising campaigns for each concert while working directly with artist agents, management and record labels. In addition to The LC Pavilion, Becky also handled the advertising and marketing of PromoWest’s three additional Columbus venues: Newport Music Hall, The Basement and A&R Music Bar. In 2004, she was promoted to Senior Director of Sales & Marketing with a primary focus on business development, corporate sponsorship and season ticket sales for all PromoWest venues. She also handles advertising sales for their two television programs, PromoWest Live, which air weekly on NBC in Columbus, OH and in Pittsburgh, PA. Having been an integral part in the building of the PromoWest brand, Becky has a high level of expertise in everything from business development to grass roots advertising and is constantly balancing the challenges of customizing corporate sponsorship, while maintaining an independent company identity to the consumer.
